A Kansas man from Baxter Springs has been charged in Wichita with allegations involving child sexual abuse materials. Kenneth Norman Baker, aged 41, faces charges of receipt, distribution, and possession of child pornography according to court documents.

The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) is handling the investigation. The case is being prosecuted by Assistant U.S. Attorney Jason Hart.

This legal action is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative launched by the Department of Justice in May 2006 to address child sexual exploitation and abuse. The project aims to use federal, state, and local resources to locate and prosecute individuals exploiting children online and to identify victims for rescue.

It is important to note that a complaint represents an allegation; defendants are considered innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in court.
