Judge Herren revises Wichita motions docket for January to June 2026

The United States Bankruptcy Court for the District of Kansas announced on Mar. 20 that Judge Herren’s motions docket in Wichita for January through June 2026 has been revised.

The changes affect several hearing dates originally scheduled for April. The court said that hearings set for April 9, 2026, will now take place earlier or later in the month depending on the case type.

According to the announcement, Chapter 7 hearings previously scheduled for April 9 will be moved to April 7 at 9:00 am. Hearings concerning Chapters 11 and 12 are also rescheduled from April 9 to April 7 at 10:30 am. Additionally, Chapter 13 confirmation hearings will now occur on April 7 at 2:30 pm instead of their original date.

For Chapter 13 motions, the court stated these hearings are being moved from April 9 to April 23 at 10:30 am.

These adjustments aim to provide clarity and updated scheduling information for parties involved in bankruptcy proceedings during this period.

Kansas City Bankruptcy Clerk’s Office to close early on April 7

The Bankruptcy Clerk’s Office in Kansas City will close early at 3:30 pm on April 7. Normal hours resume the next day, while Wichita and Topeka offices remain unaffected.
