A federal jury convicted Joseph R. Isaac, a Kansas City, Kansas resident and rap artist known as SleazyWorld Go, of illegally possessing a firearm as a convicted felon, according to a March 16 announcement from the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of Kansas.

The conviction follows an investigation that began after law enforcement saw photos on social media showing Isaac holding weapons. The case highlights ongoing efforts by federal authorities to enforce laws prohibiting firearm possession by individuals with felony convictions.

Court documents and evidence presented at trial showed that Isaac, age 28, was found guilty of one count of felon in possession of a firearm. He is prohibited from owning firearms due to a previous armed robbery conviction in Kent County, Michigan in 2016. The jury determined on Friday, March 13 that Isaac knowingly possessed a Romarm/Cugir 7.62x39mm pistol.

Isaac is scheduled for sentencing on June 30, 2026. A federal district court judge will determine his sentence based on the U.S. Sentencing Guidelines and other statutory factors.

The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives conducted the investigation into the case. Assistant U.S. Attorney David Zabel and Special Assistant U.S. Attorney Taylor Hines are prosecuting.
