A federal grand jury in Wichita has indicted a United States Postal Service employee for allegedly embezzling funds from his employer. Court documents state that Dalton R. Garcia, 33, of Brewster, Kansas, is charged with one count of misappropriation of postal funds.

Prosecutors allege that between August and September 2025, Garcia used his position at the U.S. Postal Service to take money and property valued at over $1,000.

In other indictments announced by authorities, Michael J. Madden, 41, of Wichita faces two counts related to being a felon in possession of ammunition. The Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) is handling the investigation into Madden’s case.

Additionally, Damion Guy, 40, was indicted on one count of distribution of child pornography. The Wichita Police Department and the Kansas Internet Crimes Against Children (ICAC) Task Force are leading this investigation.

The indictment against Guy is part of Project Safe Childhood, an initiative started by the Department of Justice in May 2006 to address child sexual exploitation and abuse. This program coordinates efforts among federal, state, and local agencies to identify offenders who exploit children online and to help rescue victims. More information about Project Safe Childhood can be found at https://www.justice.gov/psc.

Officials remind the public that an indictment is only an allegation. “An indictment is merely an allegation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.”
