A Wichita business owner has appeared in federal court following an indictment by a grand jury on charges related to marijuana trafficking and illegal firearm possession.

According to court documents, Justin Lane, 36, of Maize, faces multiple charges including one count of conspiracy to distribute a controlled substance, six counts of using or maintaining drug premises, two counts of possession of a firearm in furtherance of a drug trafficking crime, six counts of distribution of marijuana, one count of prohibited person in possession of a firearm, and eight counts of possession of an unregistered firearm.

Lane is identified as the owner of High Hopes ICT, which operates several locations throughout the Wichita area. Authorities allege that from an unspecified date through November 2025, Lane distributed marijuana from his stores located on North Mead Street, West 13th Street North, West Street, West Douglas Avenue, North Maize Road, and South Greenwich Road. He is also accused of possessing firearms and silencers he was not legally allowed to have.

A second individual charged in this case is Sauntsye D. Love, 40, also from Wichita. Love faces one count of possession with intent to distribute a controlled substance.

The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office and the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives (ATF) are conducting the investigation.

“An indictment is merely an allegation, and all defendants are presumed innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt in a court of law.”
